DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY STEPS IT TAKES TO GET A QUALITY PRESS BRAKE TOOL?
Let Me Walk You Through It!
Inquire NowHow To Choose The Most Suitable Tool Material?
For the manufacture of press brake tools, the raw material we choose is 42CrMo4.
Its main properties are high strength, high hardenability, good toughness, small quenching deformation, high temperature creep strength and high durability.
Choosing the right raw material is only the first step in making a good press brake tool.
For the manufacture of guillotine scissor blades, the raw material chosen by TYD Stamp is SKD11. SKD11 is a steel with high wear resistance and toughness — pure steel, good hardenability, small quenching deformation.
The choice of steel manufacturers is also very important, which directly affects the quality of tools. Therefore, TYD Stamp attaches great importance to material selection. Each batch of materials has been strictly inspected and has a quality inspection report.
High Quality Tools Need To Be Forged
The forged steel parts will cause fundamental changes in the appearance and internal tissue fiber structure.
Density increases, toughness increases — will not crack and break easily.
Stronger and more durable under heavy load conditions.
Therefore, high quality tools need to be forged. This step is critical to ensure the structural integrity of every press brake tool we produce.
What Is Rough Machining?
Rough machining refers to the products made of raw materials through simple processing or primary processing.
It is a preparation for semi-finishing and finishing, which facilitates faster and more convenient subsequent processing.
Rough machining generally falls into two broad categories: Rough Milling and Coarse Grinding.
This step ensures the material is shaped to approximate dimensions before precision machining begins.
The Principle And Function Of Heat Treatment
Heat treatment refers to the metal heating process in which materials are heated, kept warm, and cooled in a solid state to obtain the desired structural properties.
Process sequence: Annealing → Normalizing → Quenching → Tempering.
Our heat treatment methods include DEEP HARDENING and OVERALL QUENCHING.
Press Brake Tool 42CrMo4: HRC47-52 or HRC54-60. Shear Blade SKD11: HRC56-61°.
Hardness can be adjusted according to application or customer needs.
What is Precision Machining?
Unlike rough machining, the machines used for precision machining are CNC milling machines and CNC grinding machines.
Because this is almost the last step of processing, its tolerance must be controlled within ±0.02mm.
We have 15 CNC machine tools dedicated to precision machining.
This step ensures every tool meets the exact specifications required for accurate bending operations.
How Are Tools Segmented?
Segmented press brake tools offer enhanced control, allowing better precision over the bending process.
Improved safety: reduces the risk of sudden or jerky bending, which can cause workpiece damage.
Reduced wear and tear: segmented tools distribute stress more evenly, prolonging tool life.
Increased efficiency: applying pressure in a more controlled and precise manner reduces energy waste.
Can be segmented according to standard dimensions or customized according to customer needs.
Anti-Rust Double Protection
Considering the problem of transportation time (excessive transportation time may cause rust on the surface of the tool), we have adopted two anti-rust treatments with double-layer insurance.
First: Use blacking process to achieve the purpose of rust prevention.
Second: Apply anti-rust oil, then pack with oil paper and plastic seal.
This dual protection ensures your tools arrive in perfect condition regardless of shipping duration.
Permanent, Precise Identification
The purpose of laser marking is to create permanent markings on a wide range of materials using a laser beam.
Laser marking offers high precision and accuracy, as well as the ability to create intricate designs and markings.
Additionally, laser marking is a non-contact and non-destructive process, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly option.
Laser marking according to customer requirements. We have our own brand and also support OEM.
TYD Stamp Focuses On Product Quality
Our quality inspection is divided into three stages: Size Inspection, Hardness Testing, and Die Bending Test.
Size inspection ensures every dimension meets the specified tolerances.
Hardness testing verifies the heat treatment results are within the required HRC range.
Die bending test confirms the tool performs correctly under actual working conditions.
Every product will go through repeated inspections before shipment.
The Last Step Before Shipping
We use wooden boxes for packaging to better protect tools during export transportation.
Packaging can be customized according to customer needs.
Each tool is individually wrapped with oil paper and plastic seal before boxing.
Our packaging ensures tools arrive in perfect condition, ready for immediate use.
